Last week 1883 and MaDa Music took over London hot spot Tape for a night of live music and fashion in celebration of New York designer Malan Breton.

With performances from the likes of singer/songwriter Ben Hazlewood and sleek electro-pop maestros of Lua Sonique the ambience in the venue was electric. Oh and did we mention delicious cocktails? With the club packed to its 300 capacity it was a chance to be introduced to one of New York’s hottest names in fashion, award winning global fashion designer Malan Breton.

Known for working with celebrities and luminaries of the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Daniel Craig, Kerry Washington, and Ariana Grande. It was a great way to present Malan to the 1883 readers and we can look forward to the full editorial and feature in the next few weeks.

It wouldn’t be 1883 without some live music of course, and we were thrilled to have 2 great acts to entertain the crowd. On the back of releasing his new single ‘Wanted’ was Ben Hazelewood who kicked off the night with a bang. Headlining the night was London Electric pop trio band and producers Lua Sonique. With airplay from BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and Radio One Xtra they gave a performance full of energy that will be hard to forget.

It was a night where the drinks flowed freely too, a selection of Campari and Fever Tree  cocktails were on offer making sure that everyone had a glass or two in hand. As the night drew to a close, and the alcohol wore off, party goers and performers alike praised the vibe and success of the evening.

Known for showcasing the best new talent, 1883 lived up to its reputation and put on a great show and we can looking forward to more dates added to the calendar over the next 3 months.
