1883 Magazine

True to form, 1883 thrives on scouting the best in innovative upcoming talent, and true to form we recently came across a incredibly special shoe designer,  Tariq Mahmoud. Graduating from the highly respected Royal College of Art this year, Tariq has  fallen directly under the 1883 radar; His shoes are simply gorgeous.Detailed, wearable, high-end footwear suitable for city or street, we suspect this upcoming designer is well on his path to success.

Classic men’s shoes. Black Texture. The curves of the foot and angles of the heel bone. Richard Wilson’s oils. Gerhard Richter’s abstracts.

Ike Rust (our senior menswear tutor at the RCA).

What keeps you going?

Longest day on this collection?

The day before we had to present a full line up of prototypes to our tutors: I was still one prototype short and had to present another external project the same day.

In ten years time?

All I know now is that it will be 2022.

Graduating felt...

...I think I am still working it out!

London, no contest. Anything goes here.
