She is only 15 years old but Au/Ra’s music certainly does not lack of maturity. Born and raised in Ibiza, she grew up speaking not only the Catalan language but also German, while English is only her third language. Now based in Antigua, the young yet highly talented songstress is able to write songs which portray her culturally rich experiences and linguistic abilities so far.
Her debut single Concrete Jungle, which got released last year, already was a great success and now the singer is back with her new song titled Outsiders. Always having felt like an outsider herself, Au/Ra dedicates this one to everyone who feels like an odd one out and conveys the message that it’s okay to be different from the rest and not to feel any less powerful because of that.

Just like in her previous tracks, Au/Ra once again showcases her immaculate and powerful vocals in her new release, underpinned by a rather vibrant beat which you can’t help but move along to. A sample of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick In The Wall is included in a brilliant way, that it seems like these lyrics were made for only her.

Catch her show on 13th November at The Waiting Room in London, tickets available here: www.heyitsaura.com
