She may only be 18-years-old, but Charlotte Lawrence is already destined for a bright future. Born-and-raised in Los Angeles, the popstar has already generated a major buzz with her singles ‘Sleep Talking’ and ‘Just The Same’ which amassed over 38 million streams on Spotify so far, with the numbers still going up each day.

While these groundbreaking hits officially introduced the songstress to the world, Charlotte has made her footsteps into the industry a lot earlier. Recording a cover version over a Bon Iver classic led to her being invited on stage at the renowned Hollywood Bowl alongside the famous The Dixie Chicks - a joyful experience which made her realize that she wanted to pursue a career as a singer.

Now priding herself with a unique sound that combines a rather dark vibe yet up-beat instrumentals, Charlotte spent a few years in the studio focusing on writing songs and developing her own musical style. Figuring out that she found more ease in storytelling about rather sad emotions, the songstress found a great way to tackle her mental health in her songs and additionally help her listeners to focus on their well-being through the experiences she is conveying through her lyrics. Her desire to help her peers also led to her decision of taking part in the March For Our Lives earlier this year, a LA-based march by the survivors of a tragic school shooting, as well as collaborating with Spotify on their all-artist single for their Louder Together campaign during Women’s History Month.

Only recently Charlotte has unveiled her new singles ‘Young & Reckless’ and ‘Keep Me Up’, both which already garnered major support from leading music and lifestyle platforms and industry figures. It is without a doubt that the rising superstar still has got a promising year ahead of her – besides her successful single and debut EP releases she is not only appearing on the official soundtrack of the new season of 13 Reasons Why, one of Netflix’s highest acclaimed TV shows, with her Yungblud-assisted song ‘Falling Skies’ but she will also go on a world tour with American singer-songwriter Lauv in autumn. Keep an eye out for her follow-up EP ‘RECKLESS’ later this year.
